HONEES™ are made in the foothills of the Italian Alps near Lake Como. The company started in 1923, when Sr. Ambrosoli began selling honey from his own hives. We’ve grown over the years, but HONEES™ are still made in the same factory, and by the same family.

THE ITALIAN ALPS
Here is where it all began. Our first beehives were laboriously moved ever upwards into the mountain meadows, following the wildflower blooms and their pure nectar.
A family affair
Our family continues a hundred-year tradition of creating the finest honey and honey-filled drops. We like to think that our founder, Giovanni Battista Ambrosoli, would be proud of how far we have come.
The original drop
It took a huge leap of faith in 1932 for our little factory to invest in what was then cutting-edge machinery that could put our famous honey INSIDE a hard-shelled drop made from that same wonderful honey. Not to mention that the first drops were individually wrapped by hand!
