Painted Beehives Honor HONEES Donation

In recognition of HONEES’ support for their youth programs, the Huneebee Project installed a hive in one of their community apiaries, painted by one of their talented beekeepers-in-training. The Huneebee Project’s 15-week Beekeepers-in-Residence Program provides therapeutic job skills training and has educated over 2,000 children and adults on the importance of pollinators. They currently maintain 40 beehives and over 20 pollinator-friendly garden plots across nine sites in New Haven and Bridgeport, Connecticut.
